This year’s vacation bible school focused on God’s creation and everyone’s responsibility to care for God’s creation.  One of the projects we had was to fill up a jar with coins. The jar had water in it that we tried to get out. We gave the money to Mission Well, a group that raises money to drill wells so people in Bangladesh can have clean water. The kids brought in enough money to completely fill the “well”!

We played games to learn our bible verses. Wet-looking, isn’t it?

Here are some kids discussing the story of the day. We call it “tent time”.

This is the opening, where we hear the bible story and sing songs.

This year, instead of having a carnival, Angie from Scales and Tail came to our church and showed us a lizard, a snake, an owl and a hawk. She told us about special things each animal can do and why they couldn’t be released. Then we roasted marshmallows and made s’mores. We had a great time at VBS this year thanks to all the youth and adults who spent their time and energy working to make it a success.

37 youth and adults helped with VBS and 40 kids came!

Together, we raised $183 to give to Mission Well!
